"I am concentrating," Jamie retorted. "You're blocking me."

  "I'm supposed to block you."

"Hey, Aunt Bronwyn, how're you feeling?" Jamie settled beside me on the couch. Since I'd come so close to death in front of him, he tried to spend as many waking moments as possible with me.

  "Better."

"Good. 'Cause I think we should take a trip to Bromley."

  "The mountain?"

"Yeah." He grinned at us. "I hear one of the hotel rooms is haunted."

I groaned. "Can't we just go somewhere and ski?"

"I did my research." His grin widened. "The ghost skis."

I fell back into the cushions with a groan, as Kyle began to laugh. He grabbed my hand and pressed it against his lips.

"If you're gonna kiss her, I'm leaving," Jamie announced.

Kyle winked at me. "Then you better make a hasty exit."

Not only was he a good kisser, turns out he does his own laundry, after all. And now he does mine, too.
